According to state Department of Environmental Protection permitting papers, the proposed target depth for Northeast Natural Energy’s MIP No. 6H well is about 7,742 feet; with the curve and horizontal extension it will total about 11,500 feet. The numbers for MIP No. 4H are 7,550 feet and 11,456 feet, respectively.

Drill cuttings from 4H will be treated and solidified and taken to an approved landfill, according to permit papers. Cuttings from 6H may be treated and solidified with cement, or treated and solidified and taken to a landfill.

Some flowback fracking fluids from 4H may be treated and re-used in 6H. Drilling fluids will be re-used at other wells. Fluids in the drill pit will be either treated and landapplied or transferred to approved tanks for re-use or disposal.
