KINGWOOD — A nine-mile section of railway along the Cheat River is
being bought for rail trail usage.
Friends of the Cheat (FOC) and its Preston Rail-Trail Committee,

Funding for the property acquisition came in the form of a
Congressional earmark spearheaded by former U.S. Rep. Alan
Mollohan and secured in 2008 by late FOC Executive Director Keith
