12 Permits Issued in Mon County

The state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has issued 12
permits for horizontal Marcellus gas wells in Monongalia County,
according to its records.
One more application has been submitted, but has not yet been approved.
The Dominion Post has reported on four of those permits, to Northeast
Natural Energy for wells in the Morgantown Industrial Park and outside
Blacksville near Dunkard Creek.
The other permits, with well numbers:
- Stalnaker Energy Corp., one well, Madia S-516-2. This well
has been completed and is producing gas.
- EQT Production Co., two wells, 512707-Musgrave and
512706-Musgrave.
- Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, five wells, Reliance Minerals
Inc. 3H, 832597 Reliance Minerals Inc. 6H, 832598
- Reliance Minerals Inc. 8H, 832599 Reliance Minerals Inc.10H,
832638 Esther Clark 1H.
The application in process:
- Chesapeake Appalachia, 833083 Esther Clark 3H, application
was received Feb. 16.
The Dominion Post has requested copies of the permits not previously
reported.
