GRAFTON -- Hoy Murphy, public information officer for the West Virginia
Division of Natural Resources, has announced that all launch ramps
associated with the Tygart Lake are closed due to high water conditions.
Brennon O’Sullivan, Tygart Lake State Park superintendent said the
parks launch areas, marina and Pleasant Creek Wildlife Management Area
side of lake are all underwater.
O’Sullivan said that the conditions make exist for the next several
weeks and are dependent upon the severity of continuing rains.

O’Sullivan said that the Tygart Lake water is being retained due to
severe flooding conditions on the lower Ohio and Mississippi rivers. He
said that if rains occur to the south of Grafton, the boat launch ramps
will remain underwater.
