Range's Pinkerton: Frac Disclosure Didn't Come Soon Enough

Range Resources was the first company to drill a Marcellus well in
2004 and the first to disclose fracking fluids six years later.
Today, its executive chairman, John Pinkerton, said that should
have been done sooner.
“Quite frankly Pennsylvanians were some of the first that started
the whole conversation about what was in the secret sauce,” he
said. “We didn’t react soon enough. We didn’t pay attention to
what we were hearing.”
Why didn’t Range (NYSE: RRC) take the plunge earlier?
“For the most part, a lot of us thought it was just the New York
Times and a few of those” pushing for disclosure, he said.
“But really it was Main Street that was asking the question. It
was the people that create the jobs, the people who work hard, not
the regulators, not the press.”
