A new website provides information on activities and opportunities
in the Marcellus shale in West Virginia.
"Shale Advantage" at http://www.ShaleAdvantage.com,
developed by InnerAction Media of Morgantown, compiles resources
from multiple sources on one website.
The site offers interactive Google Maps representations of
permitted and completed gas wells in the Marcellus shale in West
Virginia, updated as West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey
databases are updated.
"News," "information" and "resources" pages provide background and
recent information on the field.
And a "jobs" link lists employment opportunities in the Marcellus,
generated by Simplyhired.com.
"ShaleAdvantage.com does not take a pro-shale or anti-shale
position," said InnerAction Media owner and founder Jim Matuga.
"Our goal was to provide a resource where West Virginians could
accurately and quickly identify where current Marcellus wells are
located and, at the same time, show on a Google map where
permitted wells could be drilled in the future," Matuga said. "We
believe people want to know where these wells are and where
they're going. ShaleAdvantage.com provides this information."
